Excellent historically accurate, well written
This story takes you from the Continent of Europe to the tiny island of Saint-Barthelemy in the French West Indies.
It tells the trials and triumphs of a family and will hold you spell-bound until the last word.
This book truly captured the qualities of the French- Hard working, courageous, cultured, determined, and family oriented just to name a few. Truly a good read. You captured and shared the beauty of both St. Barths and St. Thomas while emphasizing the importance of understanding your family lineage.
Anyone who reads this book will appreciate it and instantaneously fall in love with it! The author does a great job of creating believable characters, whose personalities and stories will pull you so far in that you won't be able to put the book down. An epic plot filled with romance, action, and more. Can't wait for the next great novel from this skilled author!
This was an excellent read. Iwas captivated with the historical references, being from the USVI it was interesting to read about places thats familiar. I also enjoyed Blood and Secrets.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I am from St. Thomas myself and so enjoyed reading about the islands. My father is a native of St.Barths and so that also made it very interesting to me. The author's descriptions were vivid and made it easy to visualize being there. It also shows what an inheritance means beyond the value of property. It adds more meaning to the saying, "Blood is thicker than water."
